P.J. Pimpinelli, PA-C has been with Healthy Kids Pediatrics since December 2016.
He received his Bachelor’s Degree in biology with a minor in psychology from Ramapo College of New Jersey in 2012 and with his Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from Rutgers University in 2014.
Believe it or not, when P.J. was a child he used to pass out at the sight of blood until he was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in April 2003 (at the age of 13). He was so inspired by the care he received throughout his diagnosis, that he realized he wanted work in pediatrics so that he can be there for kids when they might be going through some rough times in their lives.
Outside of the office, P.J. enjoys traveling. He loves visiting places with warmer climates (especially in the winter), however, his bucket list includes visiting as many major cities in the world as possible at some point in his lifetime. One of his favorite places he has been to so far has been Hawaii, where he went on his honeymoon. He is also very big on volunteering with some of his free time. He does a lot of volunteer work with the developmentally disabled population and also with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
P.J. loves working in general pediatrics and strives to be a role model for all of his patients. He is always inspired by how strong, determined, and resilient kids can be and always tries his best to be approachable to his patients and their families.
