In light of Governor Murphy’s latest announcement lifting the mask mandate for NJ schools and daycare centers as of March 7th, we at Healthy Kids feel that masking should be an individual decision made by families based on their own unique circumstances.
If you have an elderly, immunocompromised, or otherwise medically fragile family member in your home, masks offer an added layer of protection.
If your child is healthy and there are no medically fragile family members in your home, wearing a mask in school is no longer mandatory.
As always, we remind you that getting enough Vitamin D, prioritizing sleep, eating heathy whole foods, exercising daily, staying hydrated, and managing stress are still the most effective ways to keep your immune system firing on all cylinders. -HKP
